These are mods made for the game Doom. They require a commercial copy of the Doom iwads in order to be played, as well as downloading a Zdoom based source port. I recommend UZdoom!. If you don't own a copy of Doom, never fear! You can download Freedoom instead, which is a complete game based on Doom's source code that is completely free and compatible with Doom mods!
IRON BOUND (v.0.8.1)►CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE TRAILER◄
Iron Bound is a mod inspired by 80’s hyper violent anime OVAs and classic run’n gun games that tweaks the gameplay to be fast paced and aggressive. The mod comes with a completely revamped arsenal with powerful new weapons and your devastating Ionic Reaver sword that can me swung at any time with the alt-fire button, and which can even destroy enemy projectiles! Speaking of enemies, you will be going up against vicious bio-mechanoid mutants that are much more aggressive than regular Doom enemies. A lot of them have specific quirks that need reckoned with in combat, so stay vigilant!
Be sure to check out the mod settings menu in the options in order to tweak the level of violence, as well as other mod-exclusive features. I also recommend loading this together with a mapset of your chosing. Have fun controling the super cyborg soldier Shura and rampaging through armies of diabolic mutants! ►DOWNLOAD◄ |
CAT ASSOCIATES (v.1.1)
Tired of getting your ass kicked in all of those brutal slaughter maps? Don’t you just wish you had a couple of buddies helping you out? Then this is the mod for you! In Cat Associates you will sometimes find stone statues throughout the map that spawn a cat companion when broken! There are 4 main types of cat that can spawn, as indicated by the icons above the statues: Brawler, Ranger, Mage and Summoner. Their class names explain well enough what each of their specialties are. But there’s more! Rarely you will find a golden statue that will spawn 1 out a possible 3 special cats: The highly aggressive Floppa star that rams into enemies, the goddess Cacao that can charm enemies and is legaly distinct from a certain Animal Crossing character, and the Kot Clown that deals no damage but is an indestructible decoy.
On top of the cat associates, you also have a couple of inventory items you can make use of: Your ever present Catphone will summon all currently active cat associates to your current location. Cat Totems can be used to quickly summon 3 cat associates that don’t have any special abilities. Mushrooms spawn a mushroom sentry. And lastly, the pumpkin grants all of your cat associates invulnerability for a couple of seconds! ►DOWNLOAD◄ |
GOTH DOOM (v.0.9)►CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE TRAILER◄
Even without modifications, Doom’s gameplay stands the test of time as being both challenging and at the same time very simple! But don’t you ever wonder what Doom would look like if instead of science fiction it was an anachronistic pastiche of gothic tropes? No? Well, too bad, because you get to see it anyway! Goth Doom is a compilation of community-made graphics, as well as a few of my own making, that gives Doom a gothic coat of paint without changing the core gameplay!
While the mod doesn’t touch the game’s mechanics, you’ll still need a zdoom based port to play it in it’s current release, due to the use of truecolor sprites, and with it being packaged in a pk3 file. Next release will include a cross-port version, so look out for that! ►DOWNLOAD THE GOTH GUNS◄►DOWNLOAD THE GOTH MONSTERS◄ |
BRATWURST RECOOKED (v.0.9.3)►CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE TRAILER◄
Do you like killing Nazis? Don’t answer that, it’s a rhetorical question. Bratwurst allows you to delight in the Nazi killing experience of Wolfenstein 3D in any Doom map of your choosing. “But Rei, Wolfenstein enemies all use hitscan bullets, how are you gonna balance that for Doom’s monster archetypes which use a lot more projectiles?” That’s a fair question, person I created in my mind just now! The neat thing about Bratwurst is that you can tailor enemy behavior to your liking through the Bratwurst settings inside the options menu. In it you can change enemy attack behavior, the level of violence, and even the appearance of the Nazis! You can pick between the original sprites, the high resolution ones from the Mac ports, expansion pack skins, and much more!
I highly recommend loading this together with a good mod that replaces weapons for a more satisfying massacre. Also, be sure to download the additional package that contains rotations for the enemies, if you want something a bit more fancy that deviates from Wolfenstein’s look! ►DOWNLOAD◄►DOWNLOAD THE ROTATIONS PACK◄ |
Y2K DOOM►CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE TRAILER◄
Allow me to take you back to the past, to the 2000’s specifically: Doom sourceports were advancing quickly due to the source code being released in 1997. By this point Zdoom in particular had become a modding powerhouse, introducing “decorate” which was a very simple to understand coding language that allowed modders to add anything they wanted to the game. Doom 3 was still brand new and everyone was talking about Doom again. Skulltag spun off of Zdoom and became the definitive way to play Doom online. The modding community experienced a real boom in newcomers, with people creating mods at unprecedented rates now that they were unhindered by the limitations of vanilla Doom, and provided with new features which far surpassed those of other source ports.
In that environment, modders went on overdrive! Adding anything and EVERYTHING they wanted to their mods, often resulting in a mishmash of styles and an over abundance of new weapons and enemies that made things a bit messy. Mods from this era were often rough around the edges, but SUPREMELY charming, born out of genuine excitement for the future! As such, I made Y2K Doom as an earnest homage to those days of the Doom modding community. After all, those were the mods that made me fall in love with the scene! ►DOWNLOAD◄ |
QUAKE STUFF ULTRA (v.2.0)
And this is my first mod ever released. Back then I had become particularly hyper fixated on Quake, but at the time there weren’t that many options for me to play Quake online. At least nothing as streamlined as Skulltag or Zandronum. All of the Quake 1 online ports had netcode that wasn’t well equipped to handle my south american ping. So through sheer trial and error I taught myself how to convert Quake models to a format that could be read by Gzdoom, and to code in decorate and recreating all of Quake’s weapons and enemies to the best of my abilities in Doom. And to my credit, as someone who had no access to Quake’s actual code, and who had to fine tune everything by eye, I did pretty well. Specially for a first timer!
Of course, it being my first mod meant it had a lot of spaghetti code and beginner mistakes. So much so that I eventually lost interest in working on it once my skills got better. And so I handed the project over to LadyFuzztail over on the Doomworld forums, because she showed interest. She made her own expanded version of the mod with a lot of quality of life improvements, new features, and punchier sounds! ►DOWNLOAD◄
And be sure to check out LadyFuzztail's reloaded version of this mod! ►CHECK THE THREAD◄ |
MOTHER DEMON FINAL BOSSWhile Doom is one of my favorite games, it is by no means perfect. One of my many critiques is the final boss of Doom 2. The Icon of Sin is a gimmicky mess of a battle and I don’t enjoy it in the slightest. Of course, making a good boss battle in an FPS game is hard to begin with, but when in doubt I prefer to just have a big enemy with lots of hit points that you need to shoot at until it dies. It’s nothing amazing but hey, it’s not offensive either. This is a very simple mod that does just that: In every map where you’re expected to fight an Icon of Sin, it will instead spawn a Mother Demon (sprites by Cage) that has a lot of hit points and fires many projectiles. It’s not too difficult if you have room to maneuver in, but it’s also more fun and going up and down that dumb elevator! ►DOWNLOAD◄ |
THEY'RE GREEN AND PISSED OFF (v.1.8)►CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE TRAILER◄
A new way to play through Doom maps. In this mod you will only battle mutant variants of Imps, but the catch is that they never stop spawning! They drop a little bit of ammo and health to keep you supplied, but it’s easy to get overwhelmed by their sheer numbers if you’re not paying attention.
Be sure to check out the settings menu where you can change the respawn timer, performance settings, as well as toggle the gore on or off. ►DOWNLOAD◄ |
AVARICE COINS (v.1.0)►CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE TRAILER◄ A simple mod that adds a score element to Doom in the form of shiny coins and gems that drop from slain enemies. Also spawns treasure chests in place of barrels sometimes! You can disable some features in the settings menu. Also a disclaimer, there is an Easter egg in this mod that shouldn’t show under regular circumstances where a doge coin spawns and it’s worth a lot of money. I made this mod back when crypto shit was still new and I knew absolutely nothing about it, and I just thought “doge coin” sounded hilarious. That will probably be removed if I ever update this because by now everyone worth a damn is sick of hearing about crypto shit. ►DOWNLOAD◄ |
A MOD FOR ANTS►CLICK HERE TO SEE SOMETHING FUNNY◄ This is a silly mod I made for a contest that ended up never panning out on the Zdoom forums where the objective was to make a full mod in under 64kb. Since the focus of the contest was “small size”, I made it so everything in the game becomes toy-sized! It’s rough around the edges, but it’s a funny little diversion. Also, check out the attached video, the god mode sphere makes you regular sized again and gives you a magnifying glass with which to burn your enemies with. I’ll pat myself on the back for the cleverness of that one. ►DOWNLOAD◄ |
DUDE THE 4TH (v.1.0)
Back when Doom 2016 had been just announced and the first couple of trailers had been released, I was immensely hyped for it, not just because Doom was once again returning after another 10 year hiatus, but also because it completely rejected stale FPS sensibilities of the late 2000’s/early 2010’s. But one thing that specially caught my interest were the guns. They looked and felt HEAVY, you could say they were overdesigned, but I’m not a gun dork so I don’t care. I want my guns to look bulky and unwieldy and to have mystifying knobs and edges that serve no purpose! And thus I set out to make a mod that scratched that itch. Of course, we had very little insight at the time on how the guns were gonna work, so I improvised by using a couple of really bulky weapon sprites made by the very talented Amuscaria, some Killing Floor weapon sounds.
The end result is actually a pretty solid set of weapons, that playing with them now to get the screen shots, I’m surprised how well they stood the test of time! Stronger weapons even have alt fire modes that give them a bit of extra utility! ►DOWNLOAD◄ |
GROSSE REDUXSilly little remix of Doom 2’s map 32 that adds the actual Hans Grosse from Wolfenstein in it instead of the Cyberdemon they had as a stand in. This mod does NOT require a zdoom based port! It should work with any Boom compatible port, just be sure to load the .Deh file after the wad. ►DOWNLOAD◄ |
FLESH AND CARNAGE
A single map inspired by The Thing. My one and only attempt so far at doing serious mapping, so as you can expect it’s not very good. It’s meant to be tight on ammo, and suspenseful, until it isn’t. It does NOT require a zdoom based port! It should work with any Boom compatible port, just be sure to load the .Deh file after the wad.

ANTISOCIAL (v.1.0)
I think everyone has at one point or another made a mod where instead of demons you’re fighting human opponents. I don’t know why, I guess it’s just a very common “what if” in people’s heads. Well, this is my version of the concept. The marines in this mod have fixed health values based on what armor they wear. Brown armor has the least hit points, Grey armor is sturdier, Red is even tougher, and Green is the toughest.
It does NOT require a zdoom based port! It should work with any Boom compatible port. The .Deh file is already included inside the wad. ►DOWNLOAD◄ |
Gibbable Monsters
Simple mod that compiles all the gibbing animations made by the community over the years into one package, so now any monster can be reduced to meat chunks if hit hard enough! ►DOWNLOAD◄ |
"Marine's Best Friend" ACS ScriptsA simple mod for turning any monster into an ally. Instructions: First you must spawn a monster in the console and give them a tid of 666, which you can do using this command: Summon "monster name here" 0 666 Next, you must type "MBF_master" in the console to make them your buddy. After that you can type "MBF_Help" in the console to get a list of commands that can give your new ally extra abilities. Most of these should still be functional, i'm not sure, it's been a long time. ►DOWNLOAD◄ |
Ludicrous Gibs UniversalAn universal Duke Nukem 3D styled gibs that should work with any mod. ►DOWNLOAD◄ |
Lastly, here are a couple of simple mutators I made years ago. Not sure how many of these still work, but I'll post them here anyway.
SnailBullet: Don't you just hate hitscan enemies? Then this mutator is for you. It makes hitscan enemies shoot slow tracers instead of the unavoidable hitscan attacks.

Anti-Agitation: Makes Revenant's missiles home on you less agressively.
Anti-Agitation MKII: Revenant's missiles always home on you less agressively.
Agitation: Makes Revenant's missiles ALWAYS home on you.
Lost-Soul Possession: Gives Lost Souls the ability to "possess" dead enemies, re-animating them, but making the lost soul disapear.
Archvile Summoner: Archviles can't heal or attack, but they will spam imps and pinkies.
Contra-like: Makes you die in one hit, but gives you a damage buff (x2 or x4 damage). Got the idea for this when me and a couple of friends fucked with the damage factor in a survival game a long time ago. It was hard as nails, but surprisingly fun(In multiplayer anyway).

NOTE: Contra-like should work with every mod, but it doesn't work so good with Brutal Doom. Make sure you load Contra-like BEFORE Brutal Doom, or else it'll just lock you in third person view and make you nigh invulnerable (Yeah, go figure...). But even when you load it right it seems you lose 50 hp at random some times.
Live free, or Doom hard: Similar to Contra-like, but enemies attacks are just buffed instead of instakills.

Crossfire: Projectiles can collide with each other.
Vertical Spread: Gives hitscan weapons a vertical spread. (THIS ONE IS USELESS NOW SINCE YOU CAN NOW TOGGLE VERTICAL SPREAD ON THE PLAYER MENU IN GZDOOM PORTS.)
Dog Sphere: Replaces the God Sphere with the superior Dog Sphere.
